About The Event
Oaks Family Care Center is offering a new 4 week class called "Teen Anxiety: Understanding and Managing Life’s Challenges". This free program is designed to equip teens (13-18 years old) with effective coping strategies for managing anxiety in various aspects of their lives. Each session focuses on key themes such as performance anxiety, life transitions, social interactions, self-perception, and global concerns. Through interactive activities—including role-playing, guided reflections, skill-building exercises, and mindfulness techniques—participants gain practical tools to build confidence and resilience. The program incorporates proven coping strategies such as grounding exercises, positive affirmations, mindful breathing, and controlled exposure to stressors.
The class will meet on Tuesdays at 6 PM at Oaks Family Care Center starting on April 8th, 2025.
Class Dates: April 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
All 4 weeks are encouraged but not required!
