Testimony of Two Birth Moms

Testimony of two birth moms

“Through grace a birth mother makes a decision, though painful, to place her baby for adoption. Also, through grace, the adopting parents accept a child into their home and bestow on that child their name, material possessions and the fullest measure of their love and affection” A Guide to Adoption: Focus on the Family

As I sat and spoke with Elly, I was amazed at the maturity of the young girl of 17. She shared with me that the decision to place her child for adoption was the hardest decision of her life, but also the most loving decision she had ever made. For the first time in her life she had put someone else’s needs before her own. Up to this point in her life, she said, she was a very selfish teenager. An unplanned pregnancy with a non committed father changed Elly’s life forever.

In January she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and chose to give her daughter a loving home with two wonderful parents. Elly is thankful for her daughters new family. She thinks of her daughter every day, prays for her and loves her more than anyone else in the world.

Even through the overwhelming pain of her loss, God has given her the strength to see the decision through. This young mother’s sacrifice gave her daughter the life she deserves. In adoption, the birth mother does not reap the direct rewards from placing the baby, but in return her child receives the blessings of her mother’s unselfish gift.

Elly knows she will never regret this choice for her baby girl.

Testimony of a mom who brought her daughter to the Oaks

“I wanted to thank you for meeting with us, and to let you know how impressed I am with the center and all the help you offer. After all it is God’s will to take care of His children. But although I thought this center will be ideal for my daughter, I could not have asked for more when you delicately influenced accepting Jesus into her life. I felt like getting up and dancing and shouting, ‘Praise the Lord!’ I recently gave my life to Jesus and have been forever changed.

I just felt moved to thank you and I look forward to making positive use of the services.”
